Here Ken and I are on the balcony of where we stayed in West Yellowstone. It was perfect weather although it was -1 below when we arrived.
Our first thing was to go see the grizzly bears and the wolves. It was right across from where we stayed.
Here are the bears that just sat and wrestled for a long time. They were adorable. I hope in heaven we get to snuggle with bears! The Wolves were fun too. They would all of a sudden all start howling together. It is an eerie sound.
They have an activity called "kid keepers". They blow a whistle and they take the bears out of their area and then they take kids 12 and under in and they get to hide food in the snow all over the area. Then they get the kids out and bring the bears back in and the kids get to watch the bears find the food. They found it pretty fast! Ken thought he was being tricky by helping Alexa bury it under some logs. The bears just tossed the logs aside and went right for the food. They can smell up to 6 miles away. Alexa had a hard time walking in the snow so Ken ended up carrying her out. It was funny!
